I love lifestyle newborn sessions so so much! the most natural place to get to know you and your family is...well, in your own home! being a part of your space and capturing all of the details you have pulled together to make it your home is such a privilege!
this weekend I had the pleasure of meeting baby Douglas and his adorable parents! In classic Minnesota fashion, we were surprised with a day of dark clouds and thunder storms! As dreamy as those summer storms can be, its not exactly ideal as a photographer when you are depending on natural sun light to help create those dreamy, bright images! this was by far my most challenging shoot because of this lack of light but has become so encouraging to me through the process of shooting in these tricky circumstances but working to still deliver bright and airy images!
baby Douglas had so many adorable things to showcase for his newborn session! Sweet hand made hats, boots and blankets but also an adorable MN onesie, too! I always have the opportunity to learn so much about my clients and their families from the special keepsakes I get the chance to photograph! I know little Douglas is very lucky to have a talented, crafty grandma!!
